Code Coral
Chemically Altered Gelatinous Hair:
Hair will often feel soggy when wet, will stretch
and not return, and can also be transparent
in appearance (SG) (Stretch Gelatinous) Chemically
Altered Gelatinous hair. This is hair that has
been chemically over altered. The reason for
this very fragile condition is often caused
by the repeated use of alkaline products (Permanent
Shapers / Waves, colours, high lift Colours
and or Lighteners), or leaving same on the hair
for a longer period than is recommended for
the hair type. This hair is often in a gelatinous
condition. This is often called double processed
hair where two or more chemical services have
been used, and left on longer than is naturally
good for the keratin protein level of the hair.

Chemically Altered High Lift Lightened
Hair: Hair that has been chemically altered
(HLL) (Chemically Altered High Lift Lightened
hair) by the use of a High Lift Lightener
(Gel / Oil or Powdered Bleach) with added Hydrogen
Peroxide. The colour code is used to identify
the hair type; it can vary in condition and texture
whether the cuticle is smooth or raised (an analysis
check will determine which). This hair will in
nearly all cases need a Merlin Central Control
Treatment for balance. |
